Amazon Prime Day 2024 Live - The biggest deals as we find them
We're busy trawling the sales to find the best deals for cyclists, and we'll put them here when we do
Welcome to the Cyclingnews live coverage of the Amazon Prime Day sales. We're well into the second (and final) day of the event, and while some deals have sold out, there are plenty still available.
In fact, there are still millions of deals available worldwide covering everything from bike helmets to dishwasher tablets, and that makes it a laborious process to sift through and find the best deals on products you actually want to buy.
Luckily for you, part of our job here at Cyclingnews is to help our readers find the best prices on products we recommend, so as we trawl through the sales to compile our roundup of Prime Day cycling deals, we'll put what we find right here.

Amazon Prime Day: The best USA deals
Apple AirPods Pro (2nd gen): $249.00 $168.99 at Amazon
32% off - The top-tier model in Apple's in-ear range, the AirPods Pro 2 offer impressive Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes, interchangeable tips for comfort, clever controls for playing, pausing, and changing modes. This is the cheapest we've ever seen these in the USA, so if you've been on the fence about buying them, now is the time.
Camelbak Podium bottle 21oz: $12.00 $8.40 at Amazon
30% off - The Podium water bottle is the standard version of the above. If you don't need the insulation and want to keep the price down even more, then it's a great option. It boasts the same twist-lock leakproof top, the BPA-free construction, as well as the ability to disassemble for cleaning. This one is the 21oz version, but the 24oz is also on offer.
Elite Direto XR-T: $699.99 $399.00 at Amazon
36% off - It might be the height of summer, but sometimes nothing beats the quality of an indoor trainer session or race on Zwift. The Elite Direto currently has 36% off, not a bad buy at under $450, making it cheaper than the usual best-budget option; the Wahoo Kickr Core.
Amazon Prime Day: The best UK deals
Wahoo Kickr Core smart trainer: £449.99 £374.00 at Amazon
17% off - The Kickr Core smart trainer has been around since 2018, but despite the absolute explosion of indoor cycling that came about thanks to the pandemic, it remains one of the best on the market. It has had to shift its pricepoint to become one of the best value models, but with 1800 watts of resistance, 2% accuracy and an extremely simple user interface, it is more than enough for most users.
Blink Outdoor security cameras: £154.99 £53.99 at Amazon
Save 65% - Not a cycling deal, per se, but if you own bikes and keep them in a shed, garage or even in your home, these Blink cameras are a great way to add peace of mind that any would-be thieves will be deterred, or at least caught in the act.
Apple AirPods (3rd gen): £169.00 £129.00 at Amazon
24% off - The first of a handful of AirPods deals this Prime Day for our UK readers, the 3rd Gen is the newest on the market, though they fall slightly below the AirPods Pro 2 model (scroll down a bit for those) when it comes to the functionality (noise cancelling, for example) and the interchangeable tips.
Of course, with all of these headphone deals, we're not recommending that anyone rides their bike on the road with both headphones in, music blaring; even if we do see it done all too regularly. I save the headphones for my indoor rides so I can watch the Tour de France while training, or I listen to music (which is proven to reduce perceived exertion) during the really hard bits. My current go-to is all the emo music from my teenage years (thanks for asking).
This model comes with the Lightning charging case, but you can pay a smidge more for the MagSafe case.
Cateye Viz Rear Light: £39.99 £22.99 at Amazon
43% off - The Cateye Viz is a neat little light that will do a solid job for you. For the price at 43% off right now it ticks a lot of boxes. There's USB charging, a strong 300-lumen output and a handy rubber mount strap that allows for a wide range of seatpost fits.

Resurrected Garmin deals and a fresh Wahoo one 🧟♂️
Decent deals can be a fickle thing over Amazon Prime Day. Sometimes they are turned on and off seemingly at random by the Amazon mastercomputer - I presume there is some horrible method in the madness, but for customers it means sometimes the best deals just... stop.
The good news is that the best price we've ever seen on the Garmin Epix has been reinstated, as has the lowest ever price on the Garmin Edge 1030. There's no telling how long they'll stick around though, so best not dilly dally if you're on the hunt.
The other good news is that the Wahoo Kickr Core has suddenly seen a hefty price drop of 29% in the USA.
Garmin Epix 2nd Gen: $899.99 $449.99 at Amazon
Save 50% -
Back from the dead - the best price we've ever seen on this range topping smartwatch has been reinstated, but for how long we have no idea.
Garmin Edge 1030 Plus bundle: $699.99 $389.99 at Amazon
Save 44% - Likewise, the venerable Edge 1030 bundle deal is back to a whopping 44% off. Prime for touring, or for those with an insatiable hunger for data.
Wahoo Kickr Core: $599 $425 at Amazon USA
Save 29% - At this price it's likely better to buy from Amazon rather than Wahoo, even if you need a cassette and Zwift subscription.
Some of our favourite locks are reduced
A decent bike lock is about as essential as accessories get for your bike if you ever leave it unattended. Luckily for you we've noticed some of our favourite locks are reduced for Amazon Prime Day.
ABUS Bordo Granit X Plus 6500/110: $209.99 $84.99 at Amazon
Save 60% - A great folding lock that's secure, and easy to store on the bike.
Hiplok Gold Wearable Chain Lock: $129.99 $110.23 at Amazon
Save 15% - Not only secure, but wearable for convenient transport. And no, you don't need to lo0ck it to wear it, so you're not risking getting stuck.
Kryptonite Kryptolok 610 S Folding Bike Lock: $129.95 $99.99 at Amazon
Save 23% - Slightly less secure than the ABUS model, but on the flip side it is lighter, so if that's a factor then it is worth considering.
Abus Locks Chain 1010: $149.99 $129.95 at Amazon
Save 14% - A classic chain lock. Big, hefty, a bit scary, and flexible enough to go through a couple of bikes or both your wheels.
Amazon Prime Day deals for products I actually use all the time
It's easy to get caught up in deal-mania and end up buying something you don't need - I'm looking at you, air fryer owners! In my browsing of deals though I've come across a handful of products that I really rate that are discounted. The short version, for all you TL;DR fans, is below.
USA deals
- Oakley Sutro Lite 20% off at Amazon - Second only to the Encoder in my all time list of favourite sunglasses
- More than half off 100% S3 sunglasses on Amazon - Perfect for year-round use thanks to included clear lens
- Redshift ShockStop suspension seatpost 20% off at Amazon - Genuinely one of the best upgrades you can make to any gravel bike (just remember it isn't Di2 compatible)
- Redshift Arclight pedals 20% off at Amazon - A great way to add heaps of visibility to your commuter bike
- Supacaz bar tape 29% off at Amazon - Tacky, grippy, and with premium end caps included.
- GoPro Hero11 Black bundle 34% off at Amazon - Perfect for all your reel-making needs
- Wahoo Elemnt Bolt V2 16% off at Amazon - I'm a big fan of this little bike computer. Small, but perfectly formed.
UK Deals
- £60 off mega Kryptonite chain lock at Tredz - What I use when I really need to keep my bike safe in the city
- 47% off Lake CX332 shoes at Sigma Sports - Premium carbon and leather shoes that are superbly comfortable
- 40% off Challenge Gravel Grinder tyres at Sigma Sports - One of my all time favourite gravel tyres. Lively, fast, with shoulder knows to keep you upright
- £60 off Oakley Encoder sunglasses at Tredz - The best cycling glasses I've used to date
Will here for a bit while Josh has a break and spends some time with his lovely dogs...
Competitive Cyclist earning its name
We've all got that mate who tries to one-up everything you do. The sort who hears about your holiday to Tenerife and claims they went to Elevenerife, or takes your trip to Timbuktu and raises you a Timbukthree. It would appear Competitive Cyclist is that mate.
With Amazon's Prime Day sale in full swing, the plucky American cycling retailer has decided to run a flash sale over the same two day period. Obviously that's just a massive coincidence, though, right?
Either way, we're not complaining, because there are some genuinely good deals to be found among a lot of noise, and we tasked our senior tech writer, Will Jones, with doing just that.
More new deals!
As our American readers begin to wake, our Prime Day Cycling Deals roundup has been stocked up with a load of new savings from that side of the pond.
With 60% off one of the best bike locks on the market, the Abus Bordo 6500, and a Wahoo Kickr Core at $425 rivalling the Elite Direto XR deal we've already seen, it's worth another look.
New deals found
We've already given a few of our Prime Day roundups a refresh this morning, adding in new deals that have cropped up overnight and early on in day 2!
First up: deals on Garmin tech.
Our Prime Day Garmin deals roundup has had a few new smartwatches added. Sadly - but unsurprisingly, the Edge Explore and Edge 1030 Plus deals, both of which among the highlights yesterday, have sold out and/or returned to higher prices.
Second: our over-arching roundup of Prime Day cycling deals
This has been updated with new deals for those of us in the UK, including a Bryton radar, a 17% discount on a Whoop subscription, a Worx portable pressure washer, and a great deal on some Giro gravel shoes. Most of the USA will be asleep right now, so we'll get to work on those soon.
Good morning sports fans! It's time for another go-around! Are you ready?
A roundup of roundups
We've been hard at work here at CN Towers, trawling the sales at Amazon and beyond. Here's a recap of everything we've managed to find so far, before we clock off for the evening ahead of day 2.
- Prime Day cycling deals - All still available
- Prime Day Garmin deals - Most still available
- Airpods deals - All still available
- Garmin Epix at 50% off - Selling out fast
- Garmin Edge 1030 Plus deal - Now sold out
- Cheap Wahoo Kickr Core deal - Still available
- Oakley Encoders get 46% off - Still available
- Deals from beyond Amazon - Selling fast
- Tom's tool deals - Still available
And with that, we'll bid you adieu. We'll return bright and early tomorrow with more of the same.
Surprise flash sales at Competitive Cyclist and Jenson
Amazon doesn't get to have all the fun - Something we've noticed in recent years is that the best deals are elsewhere, and there are flash sales now on at Competitive Cyclist and Jenson that coincide with Amazon Prime Day. We'll be trawling them each for the best deals to save you the task, but if you want to head there immediately then we wish you happy hunting.
- Competitive Cyclist - Up to 60% off a huge range of products
- Jenson USA - 20% off one eligible full price item with code TRAILDAYS, with extra 15% off some items with code EXTRA15
The best cycling sunglasses just got better (well... cheaper). We've always been a fan of the Oakley Encoder sunglasses, and they sit atop our buying guide to cycling glasses as the best all round, so to find the with a discount is a real treat.
This isn't an Amazon Prime Day deal, technically. It was actually found over at Sigma Sports in the UK, but we're not ones to shy away from a good product at a good price.
Oakley Encoder: £228.00 £124.00 at SigmaSports
Save 46% - We awarded a 4.5-star score in our Oakley Encoder review. The Prizm Road lenses are a tried and tested favourite among roadies. The Encoder takes the striking design of the Kato and dials it back a little making it a more aesthetically pleasing option for most riders.
Non-Amazon bargains to be had!
Some of you may not want to bother faffing about with a Prime subscription, free as it is for a month. Some of you may also think that Daddy Bezos probably has enough money by now, and you'd rather shop elsewhere.
If that's you, I've trawled online retailers both in the UK and the USA and unearthed some great bargains. I'll whack 'em in a new page in due course, but for now here are the highlights...
USA DEALS
- 25% off Pirelli PZero Race TLR Tyres at Mike's Bikes
- 42% off Sportful Fiandre Norain arm warmers at Mike's Bikes
- $3,000 off BMC URS 01 Three gravel bike at Mike's Bikes
- 40% off Specialized x Fjallraven frame bag at REI
- 31% off WTB Nano gravel tyres at REI
- 30% off Adidas Velosamba at REI
UK Deals
- 20% off Altura Icon Jersey at Tredz
- 41% off Specialized Chisel hardtail at Tredz
- 27% off Met Manta MIPS helmet (as used by Tadej Pogačar) at Tredz
- 20% off Specialized S-Works Evade 3 helmet (Super Aero!) at Tredz
- Velotoze shoe covers for just £2.99 at Sigma Sports
- 46% off Oakley Encoder sunglasses at Sigma Sports
Lowest ever price on the Wahoo Kickr Core, and why we wouldn't necessarily buy it...
Hot on the heels of unearthing lowest ever prices for a slew of Garmin smartwatches, we've also noticed that the Wahoo Kickr Core is at its lowest ever price in the UK. However, this is a deal that need a bit of explanation as it may not be all that it seems.
If you're starting afresh you need to factor in the cost of a new cassette and a subscription to an indoor training app like Zwift. If you don't need those then it does represent a bargain, but if you need everything to start indoor cycling then it's almost as cheap to buy it all directly from Wahoo and take advantage of its bundle pricing.
Product Title: £449.99 £374 at Amazon UK
Save 17% - With an accuracy of +/- 2% the Kickr Core is about as much smart trainer as most of us would ever need. It can easily get you going on Zwift to keep you fit through the winter, and you'd only really need greater accuracy if you are seriously racing.
Mega Garmin Edge 1030 Plus bundle deal!
My colleague, Tom, unearthed a sweet discount on the large and very capable Garmin Edge 1030. It's been superseded by a few new models in recent years, but especially if you're touring it's a hugely capable bike computer, now with a whopping 40% off for our readers in the USA.
Garmin Edge 1030 Plus bundle: $699.99 $389.99 at Amazon
Save 44% - Not only are you getting a huge screen and a tonne of features, but also an excellent heart rate monitor and standalone speed and cadence sensorts to up the accuracy when you're in tree cover.
Right, Josh has gone home for a deal-induced nap. Will Jones here, Senior Tech Writer and keen deal hunter, ready to steer the good ship HMS Bargain towards the strong deal winds, torturing several metaphors in the process.
Smartwatch Deals
While cyclists favour bike computers, there's a significant number who favour the smartwatch instead. These offer a number of advantages, not least a greater multisport functionality for those who run and swim, or even engage in kayaking, skiing, mountaineering, and a whole host of trackable endeavours.
Prime Day, outside of Black Friday, is usually the best time to pick up a new smartwatch, so here are the ones we think are worth it out of the myriad options available. We've already seen a lowest ever price for the Garmin Epix 2, and while it may not be beaten we will keep checking.
Garmin Epix Gen 2: $899.99 $449.99 at Amazon
50% off - This is as cheap as the Epix has ever been, and it's essentially Garmin's flagship smartwatch. A huge deal, and while the 'Pro' has better specs the upgrades are marginal, so we suggest you opt for this and do without the built in flashlight.
Garmin Instinct 2S Solar: $399.99 $219.99 at Amazon
45% off - Another whopping discount on a burly multisport offering. The battery life, thanks to solar charging, is a colossal 51 days, so you can easily head off into the wilderness safe in the knowledge that your metrics are safe and sound.
Garmin Enduro: $799.99 $499.99 at Amazon
38% off - Recently discontinued, the Enduro is about as cheap as you'll ever find it. As well as the usual health metrics, it boast some MTB specific capabilities as the Enduro name would suggest.
Garmin Fenix 7: £499.99 £349.99 at Amazon
30% off - Up there with the Epix in terms of functionality,. the Fenix lacks the AMOLED screen but still packs a hell of a lot of features in a heavily discounted package.
Garmin Fenix 7X Solar: £619.99 £416.99 at Amazon
33% off - If the standard battery life of the Fenix is too little for you, why not opt for the model with solar charging and up it to 173 hrs in battery saver mode. That should cover you for even the most extreme of endurance events.
Garmin Epix 2: £619.99 £399.97 at Amazon
35% off - The Epix is also discounted in the UK, and while it isn't the same whopping half off that residents of the States are offered, it's still a sizeable discount for a flagship smartwatch.
Other headphones deals
Apple isn't the only brand in the headphone space, of course, and I've recently found some decent performers from Jabra, whose noise cancellation and hearthrough modes work great, as well as a great budget performer from JLab. All of the products below are tested and recommended by the Cyclingnews team, and are available with a decent Prime Day discount.
USA:
🎤 30% off Jabra Elite 10: $249.99 $174.99
🎵 35% off Jabra Elite 8 Active: $199.99 $129.99
🎧 47% off Beats Studio Buds: $149.95 $79.00
🎶 42% off Jabra Elite 4 Active: $119.99 $69.99
🎼 30% off JLab Go Air Pop: $24.88 $17.39
UK:
🎵 35% off Jabra Elite 8 Active: £199.99 £129.99
🎧 32% off Shokz OpenRun Pro: £159.95 £109.00
🎶 42% off Jabra Elite 4 Active: £99.99 £44.99
🎼 32% off JLab Go Air Pop: £24.99 £17.09
Apple AirPods
First up, a disclaimer: Please don't ride your bike outside with your headphones in and music blaring. We're vulnerable enough on the road as it is, so reducing (or removing entirely) one of your senses isn't great to keep your wits about you.
With that said, there are plenty of uses for headphones in connection to cycling. Whether you're quietly listening to a podcast in a single ear - as I often do when riding on quieter roads - or you're listening to music while riding on the turbo, a good pair of headphones can definitely improve your enjoyment on the bike.
They even say that music can help reduce the perceived effort when doing a hard training ride.
Apple AirPods Pro 2: $249.00 $168.99 at Amazon
Save 32% - This is technically the best price we've seen, although only by a single cent, as they've been $169.00 before.
Apple AirPods Pro 2: £229.00 £179.00 at Amazon UK
Save 22% - The same product in the UK doesn't get quite as big a discount, but it's still a best-ever price.
Apple AirPods 2nd Gen: $129.99 $69.00 at Amazon
Save 47% - The 2nd Generation AirPods underperform in comparison to the newer Pro or third generation models when it comes to sound quality and features, but they are massively reduced in the USA right now so open themselves up to more budget-conscious buyers.
Apple AirPods 2nd Gen: £129.00 £95.00 at Amazon UK
Save 26% - Once again, the UK is not afforded quite the same bargain as the US, but as above, they beat their previous lowest price, even if it is only by £4.
Apple AirPods 3rd Gen: $169.00 $138.59 at Amazon USA
Save 18% - Amazon is also offering a 2-year AppleCare+ option on these earphones for an additional $1.40 something that seems like a no-brainer add-on.
Apple AirPods 3rd Gen: £169.00 £129.00 at Amazon UK
Save 22% - The UK deal here offers a discount on both the Lightning and MagSafe models. This looks to be the best deal for these earphones coming in £10 cheaper than Amazon's previous best price.
Some of the best deals we've spotted so far include tech products, such as headphones, smartwatches, bike computers, smart trainers and bike lights. I'll spend some time running through the best of the ones we've found so far now...
